精东影业's Job Creation Index for March suggests that the improvement in the March jobs picture reported by the Labor Department probably centered in the West, while conditions remain best in the South and slightly less positive in the East and Midwest.
One in five American workers continued to be underemployed in March. The percentage of part-timers wanting full-time work increased, while unemployment saw a slight decline. Among the underemployed, 6 in 10 are still not hopeful they will find work in the next month.
